At CoolAfrican, we're committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact. We prioritize the use of organic or recycled materials in all of our products, including our T-shirts. Currently, 90% of our clothing products are made from 100% organic cotton or Recycled Polyester, while the remaining 10% are made from non-organic materials. We acknowledge that we still have room for improvement, but we're continuously exploring ways to increase the use of organic and recycled materials in our products. We're committed to making more sustainable choices and ensuring that our clothing products have a minimal impact on the environment.
Organic cotton is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. In addition, its production does not involve the use of chemicals (no fertilizers or pesticides) and encourages the rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Waste from the cotton ginning process is also recycled for the animal feed industry.
Respecting and being fair to workers irrespective of their country of origin goes hand in hand with sustainable development.
Our main supplier has a 19-person team that constantly monitors their 5 partner factories every day. All of which are GOTS-certified and audited by the Fair Wear
Our paper postal mailing bags are manufactured from responsible, sustainable sources to comply with FSC® certification.
The paper is both compostable and degradable, and paper mailers can be easily recycled, making this the perfect eco-friendly option.
